7/12/87, Dylan & The Dead... Giants Stadium.

JFK was my second show and Giants stadium was my 3rd. I didn't know any better at the time whether the shows were good or not! I just remember how hot it was. Some guy had a huge backpack cooler and was selling water at a ridiculous price. Those were the days.

Yeah, I know what you mean. At my first show, I had been listening to the Dead for only a few months. I had a few bootlegs and a bunch of albums. I knew the names of most of the songs but didn't know what was commonly played or the typical format (which this show obviously didn't have), etc. For me, the excitement of being there was much more memorable than the actual music.

With Dylan, considering his huge catalog of songs, I was very happy that he played quite a few that I knew, even though his performance was not great.
